5-Minute breathing exercise could lower blood pressure in sleep apnea patients

NCT ID NCT04932447

Summary

This study is testing whether a simple, 5-minute daily breathing exercise can help lower high blood pressure and improve heart health in adults aged 50 and older who have moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea. Researchers are comparing a high-intensity breathing training program to a low-intensity one over 24 weeks to see which is more effective. The goal is to provide a time-efficient alternative to traditional exercise for managing blood pressure in this population.
