Can 5 minutes of daily breathing lower dementia risk?
NCT ID NCT07349706
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple daily breathing exercise can help reduce dementia risk in older adults. Researchers will compare a high-resistance breathing training to a low-resistance version over 8 weeks. They'll measure effects on blood pressure, thinking skills, mood, sleep, and physical function in 30 participants aged 60-80 with dementia risk factors.
