Could a simple breath test spot hidden health risks?
NCT ID NCT07330297
Summary
This study aims to create a new, non-invasive way to diagnose metabolic health issues by analyzing a person's exhaled breath. Researchers will use a special machine to measure chemicals in the breath of 300 people, including those with metabolic syndrome, those who are obese but metabolically healthy, and healthy controls. The goal is to train a computer program to accurately tell these groups apart based on their unique breath patterns.
