Could a simple breath test save lives in the ER?
NCT ID NCT07379567
Summary
This study aims to see if chemicals in a person's breath can help doctors quickly tell if chest pain is from a life-threatening heart problem or something less serious. Researchers will collect breath samples from 6,000 people arriving at the emergency room with chest pain. They hope to create a fast, non-invasive test to improve how patients are sorted and treated.
