First seen Feb 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested whether a smartphone app that provides breastfeeding counselling and motivational messages can help first-time mothers breastfeed longer and face fewer problems. Sixty new mothers were split into two groups: one received the app-based support, the other got standard care. Researchers measured their confidence and any breastfeeding difficulties over six months.
