Scientists map the 'Pain-Free Zones' after breast surgery
NCT ID NCT06911892
Summary
This study aimed to create detailed maps showing which areas of skin go numb after different types of pain-blocking injections used during breast cancer surgery. Researchers worked with 36 patients to compare three common nerve block techniques and see how well they covered the surgical incision. The goal was to gather data to help doctors choose the best pain management plan for each patient's specific surgery.
