New study aims to cut opioid use after breast reduction with targeted nerve blocks

Summary

This study compares two types of nerve blocks (serratus plane block and rhomboid intercostal plane block) to see which provides better pain relief after breast reduction surgery. Ninety women undergoing the surgery will receive one of the two blocks before anesthesia. The main goal is to measure pain levels and how much opioid pain medication they need in the first 24 hours after surgery.
