First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using a special material called acellular dermal matrix (ADM) during breast reconstruction after mastectomy leads to fewer complications. About 353 women having immediate two-stage reconstruction will be randomly assigned to get ADM or not. The main goal is to see how many have serious problems like infection or need for extra surgery within 90 days.
