Which breast implant holds up better after cancer treatment?
NCT ID NCT06747065
Summary
This study looked back at medical records to compare two types of breast implants used in reconstruction after mastectomy for breast cancer. It focused on women who also received radiation therapy, which can increase the risk of complications. Researchers compared polyurethane-coated implants to other types to see which had lower rates of problems like implant hardening, loss, or the need for more surgery.
