New surgical combo aims to improve breast reconstruction

NCT ID NCT07331753

Summary

This study is testing a two-part surgical technique for women who have had a mastectomy for breast cancer. It combines fat grafting (moving a patient's own fat) with a latissimus dorsi muscle flap to rebuild the breast. The main goal is to see how well this combination works and to check for complications like wound infections. It is recruiting 20 female patients who need delayed breast reconstruction.
