Weight and breast cancer drugs: a missed connection?

NCT ID NCT02095184

First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looked at whether standard doses of hormone-lowering pills (aromatase inhibitors) work differently in overweight or obese postmenopausal women with breast cancer compared to normal-weight women. Researchers planned to measure changes in a tumor growth marker (Ki67) after 4 months of treatment. The study was terminated early, so results are limited.
