Scientists test sound waves to zap breast cancer tumors

Summary
This early-stage study is testing a new device that uses focused sound waves guided by an MRI to heat and destroy part of a breast cancer tumor. The main goal is to see if the procedure is safe and tolerable. All participants will still have their standard surgery to remove the tumor within six weeks, allowing doctors to examine the treated tissue.
