Freeze & boost: new combo aims to stop aggressive breast Cancer's return
NCT ID NCT03546686
Summary
This study is testing if freezing a tumor (cryoablation) followed by an immunotherapy drug (pembrolizumab) before surgery can help prevent cancer from coming back in women with a hard-to-treat type called triple-negative breast cancer. It's for women who still have cancer after initial chemotherapy. The goal is to see if this two-step approach helps patients live longer without their cancer progressing.
