New combo attack on tough breast cancers before surgery

NCT ID NCT07164872

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a course of radiation therapy to standard chemotherapy before surgery is safe and more effective for shrinking tumors in patients with locally advanced breast cancer. It focuses on two specific, harder-to-treat types of breast cancer where standard pre-surgery chemo often has limited success. The goal is to see if this combined approach leads to better surgical outcomes and longer survival.
