New trial challenges standard cancer treatment schedules

NCT ID NCT05910398

Summary

This study is comparing two different ways of giving a breast cancer drug called pyrotinib to see which is better at keeping the cancer from coming back. It involves nearly 500 people with a specific type of breast cancer (HER2-positive) who have already finished their initial treatment. The main goal is to find out if taking the drug continuously or taking breaks from it is more effective and safer for preventing the cancer from returning.
