Scientists grow 'Living Labs' from tough breast cancers to crack treatment code
NCT ID NCT04703244
Summary
This study aims to understand why some breast cancers survive standard drug treatments before surgery. Researchers will collect leftover tissue and blood samples from about 1,000 patients whose cancer remained after initial therapy. They will use these samples to grow the cancer in the lab, creating models to study its behavior and test new potential drugs for future patients.
