Can a free online tool replace a $4,000 cancer test?
NCT ID NCT04131933
Summary
This study observed whether giving doctors access to free online prediction tools changed how often they ordered an expensive genetic test (Oncotype DX) for patients with early-stage breast cancer. Researchers tracked 602 patients and surveyed their doctors to understand decision-making. The goal was to learn if these free tools could help predict test results and potentially reduce healthcare costs.
