Scientists supercharge immune cells to fight advanced breast cancer

NCT ID NCT03272334

Summary

This early-phase trial is testing a two-part treatment for women whose breast cancer has spread. Doctors take a patient's own immune cells, modify them in a lab to better target cancer, and then infuse them back alongside a drug called pembrolizumab. The main goals are to find a safe dose and see if this combination can help control the cancer.
