New scan aims to refine breast cancer surgery decisions
NCT ID NCT07428720
Summary
This study is testing a special type of ultrasound called elastography to help surgeons make better decisions during breast cancer operations. It focuses on patients who had chemotherapy before surgery and aims to see if this scan can accurately tell if cancer remains in the lymph nodes removed during the procedure. The goal is to provide more precise information right in the operating room to potentially optimize surgical treatment.
