New surgical flap battle: which technique heals better after breast cancer surgery?

NCT ID NCT07293052

Summary

This study compares two specific surgical techniques used during breast-conserving surgery for tumors located in the central part of the breast, near the nipple. It involves 106 female patients with early-stage breast cancer. The main goal is to see which technique—the standard Grisotti flap or a modified 'reverse mirror' version—leads to better healing of the new tissue and a more pleasing cosmetic appearance after the tumor is removed.
