Major study aims to unlock why breast cancer outcomes differ

Summary
This study aims to understand why breast cancer outcomes differ among women, especially focusing on Black and American Indian/Alaska Native women. It will enroll 3,300 women with invasive breast cancer in North Carolina to collect biological samples, health records, and survey data. All participants will also receive a program designed to improve their communication with doctors and self-advocacy skills to see if this helps improve care and reduce disparities.
