New ultrasound test could offer simpler breast cancer screening

NCT ID NCT07216274

Summary

This study tested whether a new 3D ultrasound test called QTI could work as well as MRI for breast cancer screening in women at high lifetime risk. Researchers compared both tests in 26 women to see if QTI could detect concerning findings effectively. The goal was to determine if this simpler, non-radiation method could become a useful screening option.
