Scientists search for better ways to spot breast cancer in High-Risk women

NCT ID NCT00006421

Summary

This study aimed to find better ways to screen for breast cancer in women at high genetic risk due to BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene changes. It enrolled 200 women to compare different screening tests, including mammograms, breast MRIs, and a procedure to collect fluid from the breast ducts. The goal was to learn if these methods could detect cancer earlier and understand how breast tissue differs in women with these genetic mutations.
