Blood test guides fight against breast Cancer's return

NCT ID NCT06923527

Summary

This study is testing whether a medication called elacestrant can prevent breast cancer from coming back years after initial treatment. It focuses on patients with ER+ breast cancer who have tiny amounts of cancer DNA circulating in their blood but no visible cancer on scans. The trial uses blood tests to guide treatment decisions, giving elacestrant only to those with detectable cancer DNA to try to clear it and prevent recurrence.
