Heating up the fight: can adding heat to radiation better control returning breast cancer?
NCT ID NCT06452485
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to treat breast cancer that has returned in the breast or nearby lymph nodes after initial treatment. It will follow 500 patients who receive standard repeat radiation, with or without added heat therapy (hyperthermia), to see which approach better controls the cancer while limiting side effects and maintaining quality of life. The results will help doctors and patients make better-informed treatment decisions and plan a future definitive trial.
