Blood test could spot hidden cancer cells before they return
NCT ID NCT07025785
Summary
This study is testing a blood test that looks for tiny pieces of leftover cancer DNA after surgery for early-stage breast cancer. Researchers want to see if finding this DNA can predict which patients are at higher risk of their cancer coming back, which could help doctors decide on the best follow-up treatment. A special focus is on including more Black women in this type of research, as they are often underrepresented and face more aggressive forms of the disease.
