Shorter radiation course tested before breast cancer surgery

Summary
This study aims to find out if a shorter, more intense course of radiation before breast cancer surgery works as well as the standard, longer course. It will involve 126 women who plan to have a mastectomy followed by tissue-based breast reconstruction. Researchers will compare patient satisfaction, cancer control, side effects, and surgical outcomes between the two radiation approaches.
