One-Shot radiation: new trial aims to shrink tumors before breast cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT06444269

Summary

This study is testing a new approach for early-stage, hormone-positive breast cancer. It gives patients a single, high-dose radiation treatment before surgery to try to shrink or eliminate the tumor. The trial also explores using a special ultrasound instead of surgery to check lymph nodes. The goal is to see if this targeted method can effectively control the cancer and potentially reduce the need for more extensive surgery.
