Shorter radiation schedule tested to ease treatment burden for breast cancer patients

NCT ID NCT04909125

Summary

This study is comparing two different schedules of radiation therapy given after surgery for breast cancer. It aims to see if a shorter 3.5-week schedule causes less fatigue and fewer side effects than the standard 5.5-week schedule, while being just as effective. The trial involves 132 patients who have had surgery and need radiation to the breast/chest wall and nearby lymph nodes.
