Scientists test radiation boost to supercharge immune attack on tough breast cancer

NCT ID NCT07276880

Summary

This study aims to find the best dose of radiation to combine with standard chemotherapy and immunotherapy before surgery for an aggressive type of breast cancer that has spread to lymph nodes. It will enroll 32 patients who will be randomly assigned to receive either a low or high dose of radiation targeted at the breast tumor. The main goal is to see which radiation dose is better at helping the body's immune system clear cancer from the lymph nodes.
