Breast cancer treatment time cut nearly in half? study tests 3-Day radiation
NCT ID NCT02276885
Summary
This study tested whether a shorter, 3-day radiation schedule is as safe and effective as the standard 5-day schedule for early-stage breast cancer. It involved 284 postmenopausal women who had small tumors removed with surgery. The goal was to see if reducing treatment days could maintain cancer control while being more convenient for patients.
