Could a simple gel help prevent breast cancer?

NCT ID NCT04570956

Summary

This study tested two forms of a breast cancer prevention drug, tamoxifen, in women at high risk for the disease. It compared a standard oral pill to a new topical gel applied to the breast, aiming to see if the gel could work while causing fewer side effects. Researchers measured changes in breast tissue before and after a short course of treatment to look for early signs that the drugs were working.
