Scan spots chemo failures after just one dose

NCT ID NCT00904410

Summary

This study tested if a special PET scan could tell early on whether breast cancer chemotherapy was working. Researchers scanned 63 patients before and after their first chemo cycle. They compared the scan results to the tumor's actual response after three full cycles to see if the early scan could predict success.
