Could chemo alone replace surgery for some breast cancers?

NCT ID NCT07217990

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 05, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looks at whether people with HER2-positive or triple-negative breast cancer who have a complete response to chemotherapy can avoid surgery and still stay cancer-free. About 84 adults will be followed with MRIs, mammograms, and blood tests instead of having an operation. The goal is to see if a non-surgical approach is just as effective as standard care.
