Scientists search for bacterial clues inside breast tumors
NCT ID NCT07253168
Summary
This study aims to understand what types of bacteria live inside breast cancer tumors and how they differ across various breast cancer subtypes. Researchers will collect tumor tissue, normal tissue, urine, and stool samples from 240 women undergoing breast cancer surgery. The goal is to discover patterns that might help explain why cancers behave differently, but this study does not test any treatments.
