Scientists trace Cancer's fuel source during surgery
NCT ID NCT05736367
Summary
This study aims to understand how a common type of breast cancer (HR+/HER2-) uses nutrients like sugar and fat to grow. During their scheduled cancer surgery, 16 participants will receive a special glucose infusion. Researchers will then collect small samples of their tumor and normal tissue to analyze the cancer's unique metabolism, hoping to find clues for future treatments.
