New 'Twinkling' marker could make breast cancer surgery more precise

NCT ID NCT05547347

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new type of marker designed to help surgeons locate cancerous lymph nodes more easily during breast cancer surgery. The marker is placed in the lymph node before treatment and surgery. Researchers want to see if it stays visible on ultrasound after chemotherapy and if it moves from its original position.
