First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study aims to find unique protein patterns (markers) in breast tissue and fluid that can distinguish breast cancer from non-cancerous tissue. Researchers will collect samples from 300 adults undergoing breast surgery and analyze them to develop better blood tests for diagnosis and prognosis. The study does not test a treatment, but rather gathers knowledge to improve future detection and care.
