Withdrawn study sought to prove IVs safe for Lymphedema-Prone arms
NCT ID NCT06672224
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study was designed to see whether getting an IV in the arm that had lymph nodes removed for breast cancer treatment could increase the risk of lymphedema (arm swelling). Researchers planned to use a special dye and camera to watch how fluid moves through the arm's lymph system. The study was withdrawn before any patients were enrolled, so no results are available.
