New approach could spare breast cancer patients major surgery
NCT ID NCT07080944
Summary
This study is testing whether a less invasive lymph node procedure can safely replace more extensive surgery for certain inflammatory breast cancer patients. Researchers want to see if they can accurately identify the first lymph nodes where cancer might spread in patients who respond well to chemotherapy first. The trial will follow 75 women in Italy to determine if this approach is reliable and safe long-term.
