Could less surgery be enough for some breast cancer patients?

NCT ID NCT04854005

Summary

This study is testing whether some patients with a common type of early-stage breast cancer can safely avoid a more extensive lymph node removal surgery. Researchers want to see if using a less invasive procedure is sufficient for patients whose cancer has spread to 1 or 2 lymph nodes. The goal is to reduce surgery-related side effects while still effectively controlling the cancer.
