Could a blue dye spare breast cancer patients from arm swelling?
NCT ID NCT07532096
First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether using a blue dye alone to find and remove key lymph nodes after chemotherapy is safe and effective for women with breast cancer that had spread to the armpit. About 240 women will get the dye-guided biopsy plus standard lymph node removal. The goal is to see if this simpler approach can lower the chance of arm swelling while still catching any remaining cancer.
