Scientists probe Pregnancy's hidden link to breast cancer defense

NCT ID NCT01503190

Summary

This research aims to understand how a woman's immune system responds to breast cancer, and whether having been pregnant changes that response. The study will compare women with pregnancy-associated breast cancer to those whose cancer is not linked to pregnancy. Researchers will collect blood, urine, and tissue samples to analyze immune system activity, hoping this knowledge will guide future treatment development.
