New scan aims to see breast cancer spread more clearly
NCT ID NCT01093612
Summary
This study tested a new type of PET scan to see if it could better show where and how much HER2-positive breast cancer has spread in the body. It involved 18 women whose cancer had spread beyond the original tumor site. The goal was to see if this special scan could help doctors plan more effective treatments by getting a clearer picture of the cancer.
