New scan seeks to reveal hidden cancer weakness

NCT ID NCT03846167

Summary

This study is testing a new type of PET scan that uses a special tracer to take pictures of breast cancer. The goal is to see if the scan can measure a specific protein activity inside tumors, which might help doctors understand the cancer better. Up to 50 adults with known or suspected breast cancer will have the scan, and some may have a second scan after starting treatment. The study is gathering information to see if this scan could be useful for future treatment decisions.
