Doctors test if scans can replace some breast cancer biopsies
NCT ID NCT07354490
Summary
This study aims to see if routine mammograms and ultrasounds can predict the molecular subtype of a patient's breast cancer, which currently requires an invasive biopsy. Researchers will analyze imaging features from 122 women with confirmed breast cancer and compare them to biopsy results. If successful, this could help guide treatment planning, especially in areas where advanced lab testing isn't available.
