Scientists track experimental breast cancer pill through the body

NCT ID NCT04940026

Summary

This early-stage study aimed to understand how the body absorbs, breaks down, and eliminates an experimental oral drug called SAR439859, which is being developed for breast cancer. Six healthy post-menopausal women received a single, very small dose containing a safe radioactive tracer, allowing researchers to track the drug's journey. The main goal was to gather basic information about how the drug moves through the body, not to test its effectiveness against cancer.
