Scientists probe link between cancer drugs, gut bugs, and hormones

NCT ID NCT05030038

Summary

This study aims to understand how a common breast cancer medication (an aromatase inhibitor) changes the bacteria in a patient's gut. Researchers will check stool and blood samples from 25 participants before starting the drug and again after 4 and 12 weeks of treatment. The goal is to see if changes in gut bacteria are linked to changes in hormone levels in the body.
