Frozen treatment tested for breast cancer
NCT ID NCT07439432
Summary
This study aimed to test a new approach for treating small breast cancers in women aged 60 and older. Doctors planned to remove the tumor with a biopsy, then immediately freeze the area to kill any remaining cancer cells. The goal was to see if this combined procedure was safe, effective, and well-tolerated as a potential treatment option. However, the trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
