Chemotherapy may age your organs faster - new study seeks answers

NCT ID NCT06789653

Summary

This study aims to understand how chemotherapy for early-stage breast cancer might accelerate aging in specific organs like the heart and brain. Researchers will measure aging markers in blood samples from 60 women before and after chemotherapy treatment. The goal is to identify patients at highest risk for long-term side effects like heart problems or cognitive decline, which could help doctors personalize future treatments.
